Bayern Munich surpasses Mainz in the Bundesliga

Bayern Munich achieved a significant victory over their guest, Mainz 05, in a match played at Allianz Arena as part of the fourth round of the German league. The match showcased a standout performance from Arjen Robben, and Polish striker Robert Lewandowski found the net twice, despite recent criticism he received from Rummenigge.
Bayern entered the game amidst considerable controversy surrounding their style of play and individual issues with players like Ribéry and Lewandowski. However, it seems they managed to overcome this by outclassing Mainz, who were sitting at 14th place and had managed to beat Bayer Leverkusen in the previous round.
The Bavarian team dominated the game from start to finish and opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Thomas Müller, who hasn’t been in his best form this season. Arjen Robben then added another goal in the 23rd minute, celebrating it with his substitute teammate, Franck Ribéry, who had a tumultuous week after expressing his displeasure over being substituted in the UEFA Champions League.
Arjen Robben’s goal marked the end of an exciting first half. The second half, however, was dominated by Robert Lewandowski, who managed to find the back of the net twice, leading his team to a clean 4-0 victory.
The Polish star added the third goal in the 50th minute, capitalizing on a superb run from Müller down the right side, followed by an excellent ground pass that he effortlessly converted into a goal. The fourth goal, a header in the 77th minute from a well-placed cross by Kimmich, effectively sealed the game for the Bavarians.
With this result, Bayern Munich increased their points tally to 9, securing the second spot in the league standings, just behind Hannover 96, who have 10 points. Meanwhile, Mainz now finds themselves in 14th place with 3 points.
