English Premier League club Liverpool is reportedly targeting the acquisition of German international Jamal Musiala, the playmaker for the German team Bayern Munich. The 20-year-old player has a contract with the Bavarian giants until June 2026.
According to reports in German media, Musiala has expressed frustration over his lack of regular playing time at Bayern Munich. German manager Thomas Tuchel, in charge of the Bavarian giants, often prefers to rely on Thomas Müller instead of Musiala.
Liverpool is keen on securing Musiala from Bayern Munich, and the German star is eager to play regularly. He has engaged in discussions with Hasan Salihamidžić, the former sporting director of the German club, about extending his contract.
Currently, talks regarding the extension of the German star’s contract have stalled, with Musiala’s agent opting to wait and assess Tuchel’s handling of the situation in the coming months.
Real Madrid is also reportedly interested in signing Musiala.
Bayern Munich is reportedly prepared to offer Musiala an increase in his current salary. The player currently earns 8 million euros annually.
It’s worth noting that Musiala is a target for the Reds, alongside his teammate Leroy Sané, a winger for the Bavarian team.
In the current season, the German player has featured in 8 matches across all competitions for Bayern Munich, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
