MAKÜ patented the portable microscope

The patenting process of the mobile microscope developed by the faculty members of Burdur University Mehmet Akif Ersoy (MAKÜ) has been completed within the scope of the regional development-focused livestock project.

The microscope is designed to have features that can be easily used by anyone. The device, which has the design of an inverted light microscope, can be combined , in any smartphone quickly and easily.A portable optical microscope with a micrometric focus range and sensitive XY scanning stage can be used to record and analyze high-resolution images of samples.Thanks to the device, the diagnosis of disease in calves with indication of diarrhea will be performed on site by veterinarians without transporting the animal To the health center.With the patented invention,Cryptosporidium parfum eggs can be identified in the field in samples stained with Carbol Fuchsen.The patent application we submitted to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office on behalf of MAKÜ in 2019 led to the publication of patent information in a prospectus.
